(Vicia villosa)  Annual legume grown on viney, tendrilled plants with attractive, purple flowers.  High protein seed.  Self-seeding. Commonly used as a fodder crop or for green manure adding nitrogen & organic matter to the soil & supressing weeds, as well as attracting beneficial insects to the garden.  May be combined with oats for support. 

Easy to grow - will grow in most soil types.  Does not tolerate waterlogging. 

Best sown in Autumn, Winter & Spring.  

Broadcast at a rate of 5-10kg/ha or 2g/sqm

Smaller packets are ideal for the home garden.
