***NOT TO TAS*** (Allium sativum) First introduced by Chester Aarons, the famous garlic grower and author who sourced it from San Francisco's China Town. Believed to have originated from Xi'an in the Shanxi Provence in China. Attractive white bulbs with random, maroon, thick vertical stripes containing purple coloured cloves with strong, earthy flavour. Described by Chester Aarons as having 'Intense heat when eaten raw, followed by a rich, earthy, mushroomy finish.' Prefers being grown in reasonably cold winters and hot dry summers.
HARVEST: Very Early
