(Borago officinalis)  Heirloom.  Annual, medicinal & culinary herb.  Wide, hairy, bluish-green, leafy plant with star-shaped blue flowers.  Height to 80cm.  Flowers used in salads or pot pourri.  Young leaves used in salads, soups, cooked like spinach, or as mulch.  Tolerates poor soil conditions.  Seeds contain over 20% GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) which is extracted and used commercially as an economical substitute for evening primrose oil.  150 seeds
