(Brassica juncea) Asian heirloom also known as 'Chinese Mustard', 'Swatow Mustard Greens', 'Mustard Cabbage' or 'Indian Mustard'. Deep green, crinkled, broad cabbage-like leaves with thick ribs & veins, and very mild, sweet flavour. Popular in Taiwanese cuisuine. Harvest baby leaves when young (after 21 days) or leave to mature. Prefers warm, humid conditions. Quick to grow. May be grown as green manure crop, as a soil fumigation treatment, or even to help remove heavy metals from the soil.
