APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is an organic natural weed killer, pest deterrent and plant fungicide.  For safe use, always dilute it with water. It should be applied carefully to avoid damaging foliage or altering your soil's pH balance. 

Uses

• Weed Control:  To eliminate unwanted weeds, mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle. For tougher weeds, some gardeners add a splash of dish soap. Spray directly onto the foliage on a dry, sunny day, being careful to avoid your prized plants. 

• Pest Deterrent:  Keep ants, slugs, snails, and even rabbits away by spraying a diluted solution (1 part vinegar to 3 parts water) around the perimeter of your garden beds. You can also soak cloths in the vinegar and place them near your garden's edge.

• Fungal Treatment:  Combat powdery mildew and black spot on roses by mixing 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with roughly 3.7 litres of water. Spray the mixture directly on the affected leaves to stop the spread of fungi.

• Fruit Fly Trap:  Protect your produce from fruit flies by filling a jar with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. The scent lures them in, and the soap prevents them from escaping.
  
• Tool Cleaning: The acetic acid in vinegar naturally dissolves rust. Soak rusted garden tools in apple cider vinegar overnight to restore them, and use it to wipe down shears to prevent the spread of plant diseases.
