(Abelmoschus esculentus)  Heirloom dating back to the 1860's around the time of the Civil War.  A giant plant growing up to 2.5m high producing large, green, twisted, cow horn shaped pods (hence the name!) which can reach almost 40cm in length - although they are best harvested at around 12cm.  Pods are juicy, full of flavour and tender while still retaining its crunch.  55 days.
