(Cucurbita maxima)  Old French heirloom once the most popular pumpkin in the central market in Paris during 1880's.  First introduced into the wider market by W. Atlee Burpee in 1833.  Translates as 'Deep Red' & also known as 'Cinderella Pumpkin' being the pumpkin described as the coach in the story.  Attractive, large, flattened, ribbed, deep red/orange fruit to 50cm across & up to 15kg.  Average eating qualities with flesh best used in pies & pumpkins; great ornamental.  Vine.  12 seeds
