(Amaranthus tricolour)  Heirloom.  A highly attractive sprout displaying a beautiful pink to magenta stem and delicate leaves.  Higher protein content than grain sprouts.  May be used in salads, as a garnish or in many Asian dishes.

Flavor: Mild and sweet - similar to mustard but not as spicy

A small, delicate seed which prefers warmer condtiions.  Sensitive to direct sunlight so partly shaded is best.
