(Amaranthus tricolour)  Heirloom.  A highly attractive sprout displaying a beautiful pink to magenta stem and delicate leaves.  Higher protein content than grain sprouts.  May be used in salads, as a garnish or in many Asian dishes.

Days to Maturity: 8-12 days

Germination Time: 2-3 days

Growth Medium: Soil or Hydroponic

Color: Brilliant pink and magenta shades

Flavor: Mild and sweet - similar to mustard but not as spicy

Texture: Crisp & fresh

Nutrients: Vitamins K, E & C, calcium, iron & beta carotenes

A small, delicate seed which prefers warmer condtiions.  Sensitive to direct sunlight so partly shaded is best.
