HISTORY:  Did you know that the original carrot was white and not orange?  The Celts in Northern Europe grew carrots that were white.  Afghanistan, Syria and Iran grew yellow or purple carrots.  Our sweet, deep orange carrots of today were first developed in Holland during the 1600's, then moving to America with the first settlers.
