(Phaseolus vulgaris) Heirloom first introduced in 1897 by Peter Henderson & Co. Long, slender, slightly curved green beans 12-15cm long with shiny, black seeds produced on bush to 45cm high. Excellent eating either as fresh green bean or as dried legume. Cold weather tolerant germinating well in cold soil, but also does well in most areas. High yields. Easy to grow. 53-70 days.
