(Phaseolus acutifolius)  Ancient heirloom.  Small pods producing tan and blue-grey spotted beans which resemble a small pebble.  Unique, mild flavor characteristic of traditional Southwestern dishes. Once the main crop in the native cultures of the Sonoran desert and surrounding regions. Very drought & heat-tolerant & in many areas may be grown without irrigation. They are of a thin-stemmed sprawling bush to half-runner habit.  High yields.  A very small & hardy plant which is rewarding to grow.  Best left to mature for use as dried bean rather than fresh green bean.  80 days. 60 seeds
