(Cucurbita ficifolia) South American heirloom.  Also known as 'Fig-Leaf Gourd', 'Malabar Gourd', 'Siam Pumpkin', 'Thai Marrow', 'Shark Fin Melon', 'Chiverre', Pie Melon', 'Calabaza China', 'Black Seeded Squash', 'Cayote', 'Gila', 'Potiron Cheveux d'Ange', 'Calabaza de Cabello de Angel', 'Alcayota', 'Seven Year Melon'.  Perennial squash (however annual in cooler climates).  Large, rounded, green & white, mottled, melon shaped fruit weighing up to 6kg.  Easy to grow as plant is very hardy and disease resistant.  Sprawling vine up to 17m long.  Young fruit harvested and used like zucchini, or left to mature with flesh used to make pies and confectionary and seeds dried and used like pumpkin seeds.  Young green tips also used to add interest to salads etc.80-120 days.  15 seeds
