(Raphanus sativus) Japanese heirloom also known as 'All Seasons'. Daikon type. Well suited to all-year-round sowing except for areas where temperatures drop below freezing. Pure white, pungent (hot) root to 30cm long & 5cm across tapering to a sharp point with firm, white crisp flesh. Slow to bolt. Great for salads, cooking or pickling.

Grew this for the first time this year, and it turned out to be a very impressive addition to the garden, with two thirds of the root above the ground and beautiful, almost fern-like leaves.
