(Phaseolus coccineus)  Heirloom from the Netherlands dating back to 1700's from John Withee's famous bean collection via Old Sturbridge Village.  Also known as 'Alba Bean'.  Large, thick, green, tender, juicy pods with white beans, produced on fast growing vine with white flowers. Green beans harvested while young & eaten fresh, or seed left to mature and dry for use as legume.  Perennial vine dying back in winter & re-emerging in spring each year.  High yields.  Cool climate only; tolerates drought & cold climate well.  70-90 days.  18 seeds
