Dragons Tongue Bean

By: on 19 June 2018
One the best bush beans for fresh eating that I’ve grown, staying tender even as the seeds fill out. There is so little tough fibre in the pods that they dry down to a papery husk! This lack of fibre is the reason they stay tender for so long but it also means that they do not keep well once picked. No problem for the home gardener - straight from the garden to the pot. Delicious lightly steamed with lashings of butter.
